Photographs By Jennie Fuller Featured At Meeting of Meredith Historical Society
At the meeting of the Meredith Historical Society on October 6, Bob Rosen discussed his new book on the photographs of Jennie Fuller. Born in 1883, Fuller worked from 1901 to 1937 documenting rural life in Meredith.
Entitled “A World in a Grain of Sand: the photographs of Jennie Fuller (1901-1937), the book is available through the Meredith Historical Society.
Another Rosen project is also newly available through the MHS. “The Thing of It: Tales of Meredith” by Wilfred Jurjens with Bob R9sen grew out of lengthy conversations between Rosen and Willy during recent years.
“The stories are all in Willy’s head,”Rosen writes, “but he has an entire barn full of memorabilia to go with them, horse carriages, antique motor vehicles and sleighs, dairy cans and milk bottles, old crank telephones, and hundreds of wonderful photographs that he has amassed over more than 50 years of collection. Many of the photographs in this book are his, copies of which…Willy has donated to the Meredith Historical Society.”
